Nicola Ford is the pen name of Dr Nick Snashall, National Trust Archaeologist for the Stonehenge and Avebury World Heritage Site. Nicola was born amid the hop gardens and apple orchards of Kent but spent much of her youth digging up bits of Gloucestershire. Over the last three decades she has excavated on sites across Britain and Europe, from Yorkshire to the Czech Republic. Her writing brings together the worlds of archaeology and crime, unravelling the tangled threads left behind by murder to reveal the stories of those who can no longer speak for themselves.
